By riding
a wave of sorrow Antique creates a dark soundtrack that takes us on
"...A journey into the unknown, into the darkness. " (The Darkest Hours)
Your sense of comfort, and warmth, is immediately broken by the sombre and
depressing Take This Sullen Timber
.
From here your emotions will be drawn in for a gradual weakening from the
persisting pain. Yet, a hope burns within, this tale escapes from oblivion
into the Elysium Cascades
.
Listening to Book One it is difficult to classify the sound.
Perhaps it shares a thematic approach to the modern stylings of Ulver,
or perhaps it takes a cue from Mortiis. Drawing from the recesses
of death and pit against the ambiance of dark music,
Antique is, in the words of one reviewer,
"unlike anything I have heard before." (Into Obscurity)
We do have One Last Thought
for you before you go:
"Book One really is the first chapter to another world's story"
(L'Édition Métallique)

Review of Antique in Terroraiser
That's a very strange release. It is difficult to characterize it in
two words, probably CD "Book One" is better to define as soundtrack in
darkwave/ambient/gothic with elements doom/death style and classic
passages. Every composition contains new mood, new feelings, new
emotions. (more…)
